Project 70Forward provides Pop-up, Place-based Community Engagement services
in the Greater Charlotte, NC area
Our mission is to always weave ourselves into the communities where residents need support and advocacy for those dealing with disabilities and income disparities. Through our pop-up place-based community engagement services, Project 70Forward provides much-needed resources to the underserved in the Charlotte community.
Our services include:
Direct Living Support
Shopping experiences (clothes, coats, etc.)
COVID testing and vaccination clinics
Food distribution
Distribution of medical supplies
Project 70Forward applies for grants and collaborates with other community partners such as Crisis Assistance Ministry, Atrium, Humana, CareRing, and others in an effort to get information and resources into communities, as well as to provide basic needs support.
By 2020, we have gone into more than 18 neighborhoods and served over 1,000 residents within MecklenburgCounty. We have distributed coats, clothes, PPE supplies, food, and information to increase both Census and Voting participation by those who wouldn’t otherwise know about the information, nor have access to get to the resources.
Our BIG dream is to have a Mobile Resource Unit, complete with an office and the resources to be distributed based on the needs of a particular community or project. We will continue our fundraising efforts and decipher options where a unit can be donated and managed by the Project 70Forward team. We are delighted to partner with your organization to help get the resources into the hands of those who need them most.
